We now rejoin our show, already in progress

Where were we? Ah, yes, Toddler Jeneric's Canadian adventures!

We arrived in Kitchener in time for dinner. On the menu: lamb. Musical lamb at that.

(Thanks Ali, Teresa for the musical farm animal for Toddler Jeneric)

Toddler Jeneric met Keeper:

and promptly taught him the most inefficient way to remove water from his bowl:

Saturday was a play day.

Does she know there's a puffer fish in her lap?

Maybe Keeper will like my dog counting book.

Sunday dawned cold and snowy. Maybe you heard? Canada got socked by a lovely snow storm. We did what any reasonable family would do: we hunkered down and played more games.
December16a

And it kept on snowing.

To pass the time, Toddler Jeneric and Keeper traded places.

Alas, the snow eventually ended and we aimed our car for points southwest-ish. Let's not discuss the conditions of the 402 or that we arrived home well after midnight on a school night. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Canada. Maybe next time Jenni can win at Puerto Rico.

Travels with Toddler Jeneric, the International Edition

This post is temporarily broken. It's quite boring to write about a fun trip to the blustery wilds of Canada without pictures. You see, we forgot the camera. Lucky for us, Teresa and Ali have a camera and weren't afraid to use it. So! Pictures and posting will commence in the very near future.

And in the interest of being transparent, we also forgot:
the diaper bag*
Toddler Jeneric's winter coat
Toddler Jeneric's slippers
boots for everyone

We almost forgot Toddler Jeneric's pajamas, but a little forethought by Eric saved us from that embarrassment

*Never fear, Toddler Jeneric's cheeky bum was well-covered this weekend and most of the diapers (and wipes, too) had been packed in the suitcase.

Excuse me

As the resident Queen, I must demand that you inform

this girl

that despite my age, I do not need to color my hair.

That is all.

She does exist!

My Mom is a wily creature. She doesn't often appear on this blog. But Dad and I teamed up and captured the elusive Mom.

Here we are reading a fun new story:
December5a

and here I'm climbing all over Mom:
December5f

and here we're having a tickle fight.

Random Observation, Friday Edition

In an e-mail from Eric to me:

When working on a puzzle, Toddler Jeneric tried putting a piece in. It didn't fit, she sat back, looked at the puzzle, looked at the piece, turned it 90deg. Looked again. turned the piece again. Put it into the puzzle. She was able to put many of the pieces in place, even changing orientation a number of times.

Toddler Jeneric's next task: packing the suitcase for holiday travels.

Quite probably her favorite toy.

Random Observation, Tuesday Edition

Yesterday Toddler Jeneric laughed at Daddy dropping and catching a bouncy ball for minutes on end.
