Here, here!
Oh, how embarrassing. Has it really been that long since we've posted a new picture of Baby Jeneric? Do you know that she raced right past the 6-month mark, barely taking the time to visit the pediatrician (19 pounds, 14 ounces and 26 and a quarter inches tall). Her solid food repertoire continues to expand and now includes oatmeal, applesauce, peas, carrots, bananas, squash and pears (which she will fight you for). Sitting up is old hat as is scooting backwards and she'll be crawling forward soon enough. Though the pictures may not show it, her hair is getting thicker and redder every day. She has a temper (yes, it's true!) but doesn't stay upset for long. Her vocabulary of sounds grows daily and she's managed to eek out a Mum once or twice.

What's up, Doc?
We left you hanging for over a week on what Baby Jeneric was eating. The title to this post says it all - carrots! Since then, we've moved on to squash (she has a hate/love relationship with squash) and pear (more, please!). Baby Jeneric has also begun to covet glasses (both kinds). She routinely takes sips from our water glasses and can spend hours holding on to a cold cup.
In case you were wondering, Baby Jeneric had her 6-month check-up this week. Our champ weighed in at 19 pounds, 14 ounces and was 26 and a quarter inch tall. Her sit-up skills are top notch, but her aversion to rolling over must be conquered. With a shot in each leg, we were sent packing and told to return in three months.
