mean nothing around here, where the tykes toil for hours in the mines before we send them to bed. In footed pajamas.

I do myself

As you might imagine, with two opinionated 'little people' running around this house, there's bound to be several instances of doing things on their own. Two recent examples:

1. Making one's own peanut butter sandwich.




2. Peeling a hard-boiled egg.

It's been a while

We've been busy transitioning to new routines. The blog slipped away...

Jeneric started gymnastics lessons a few weeks ago (she won a free class at a local place, which was fortuitous since she asked to take them. What is unusual is her enthusiasm and willingness to try anything new in this class. Yes, this is the girl who won't go down a slide, but will hurl her body into somersaults if you ask). At the end of each lesson, she gets a gymnastic-themed coloring sheet.

Yes, it is cut into several pieces. Jeneric has grand designs to split this among friends and family. She has similar plans for this week's coloring sheet.

The question is: will she grown up to be Will Shortz or Tony Soprano?

Labor Day

Not much of a post because we didn't take any pictures on our Labor Day weekend camping trip (ahem, Grandpa and Grandma took them all). We hit a lake, camped for 2 nights (wherein Toddler Wily managed to cut her chin and nose, bruise her forehead and find a leech. Jeneric discovered campfires, dragonflies, night skies, crickets, fishing, Tang, ...).

Firsts, part 2

While Jeneric was enjoying her first day of preschool, Toddler Wily was enjoying her first day in charge! Before viewing any further, we caution you to do a few stretches, limber up and hold on. It's a fast ride!



After such a busy day, you can imagine she was tired. So tired, in fact, that she fell asleep in Jeneric's bed!

Don't worry - Jeneric told us Toddler Wily could use all her things, just as long as it was all put back by the time she got home.
