Random Recordings
- Jeneric can buckle her own seat belt. This is awesome as it means less hunching for the adults in her life.
- Toddler Wily says, "bayto weeg" which, for those who do not speak Toddler-ease, means, Dearest mother and father, please put on my favorite CD, Beethoven's Wig. Now. Thank you.
- Lady Argon is sporting more color this summer, brought to you by Crayola washable markers and Toddler Wily.

You should see...
the other guy!

Toddler Wily had a nasty run-in with a mosquito that resulted in a trip to the after-hours pediatric clinic, a check to make sure it wasn't something worse, a stop at the local pharmacy for a jumbo-sized bottle of Benadryl, and home to sleep it off.

Visitors from Outer Space!
or you know, Canada, which isn't the same at all. But! We had real, live Canadians in our home this weekend! So since there was no American football on... or hockey... or basketball, we were forced to amuse them with...
Food.
Gardens.
Geocaching (which is not mutually exclusive from gardens).

And our awesome toy collection. Ahem.

In return, the Canadians made us sing, go for walks and answer ridiculous hypothetical and philosophical questions.

Don't you just love the smell of rotting flesh?
No? Then you're probably unlikely to enjoy the corpse flower, Amorphophallus titanum, which is currently blooming at the local 4-H Children's garden.
And here, Jeneric shows us how to find a corpse flower and how to pronounce the latin name.

What in the world: answer
Whoops! Friday suddenly became Monday. Drum roll, please!
The answer:
Nail polish! Yes, it is true that Jeneric dearly wishes to wear nail polish. And yes, both Mama and Daddy think she's too young for the harsh chemicals of adult polish. But we may crack and get her some Piggy Paint.
Who's taking bets on how long it will take Toddler Wily to ask for her own nail polish/play-doh finger tips?

Unexpected
No one expects the Spanish Inquisition! Or shear wind storms. But a shear wind storm tore through our backyard, killing our electricity for 12 hours and doing a wee bit of damage. Good thing we're renting!

Zoo... again
Wow, a quick search of our blog reveals that we go to the zoo quite a lot. How unusual for a family with 2 toddlers!
Our latest zoo folleys:

Jeneric cajoling a friend into touching the goat.

Before finally touching the goat herself.

Hijinks on the bench.

Hop, hop.

And ending with a great picnic lunch.
