Shot through the heart!

Well, not the heart, but both thighs. Again with the vaccinations! Baby Jeneric was chipper throughout her check-up, saving the howling for the needles.

4-month data:
Height: 25 inches (95th percentile)(the doctor took one look at Eric and said Baby Jeneric was perfectly normal)
Weight: 16 pounds, 3 ounces (95th percentile)
We thought Baby Jeneric was a giant among the little people, until the doctor told us there was another 4-month old baby in the office that day who weighed in at 22 pounds. Wow.

And now, what most of you have been waiting for, pictures!

Whoops! Not the baby!

We've been remiss

Baby Jeneric continues to grow and change, but alas! her parents are not keeping pace. We resort to cute pictures to pacify the masses!

A New Metric

In our last post, we showed proof that Baby Jeneric was growing. Alas, as Teresa noted, the bassinet is no longer a suitable device to demonstrate growth and Baby Jeneric is now too tall to comfortably stretch out. As a result, we graduated to our next metric: the high chair.
No, she is not eating solid foods and no she doesn’t sit up by herself just yet. But she does despise being left out of the fun of meal time and since her head holding skills are top notch, we bow to her whim and let her spend 5 or so minutes in the high chair every now and again.

(Hey Mom! Do you know the frog talks?!)

We’ve also caved in to baby pressure and are now walking with the girl facing out of the baby carrier (weather and temperament permitting).

And finally, if you are in the vicinity of Baby Jeneric and you are small enough to fit into her hands, be warned. You will be grabbed, grasped, pulled, shaken and, eventually, eaten.

So big!

Baby Jeneric thoroughly enjoyed the Super Bowl, despite rooting for the wrong team.

Maybe next year, eh?

In other news, it appears that Baby Jeneric is indeed growing.

News of the Weird

Baby Jeneric has grown a third eye! Suspiciously, this eye appears to resemble that of a Mr. Glo Worm, causing local residents to wonder if genetic experimentation was at play at the Wily Jeneric Household. Details to follow as soon as we know more.

You can pick your nose

And you can pick your friends
But you can’t pick your friend’s nose.

Baby Jeneric has been in training to be a thumb sucker since before birth. Her latest technique while not without challenges, seems to be fairly successful. By inserting her index finger into the handy locking mechanism, she ensures thumb immobilization for several minutes.

Help! Baby Jeneric’s Been Shot!

Immunizations definitely suck. Baby Jeneric responded like any baby would, with howls and tears aplenty. It’s hard to believe she’ll trust us after the trauma we forced her through on her 2-month birthday.
