Interlude

Despite our best efforts - nearly 2 months of regular posting! - the comments at Wily Jeneric remain few and far between. What do we have to do to get a comment out of you people? Change our parenting role model to William Tell?

So go ahead - evolve and leave a comment this week at Wily Jeneric.

(p.s. We in no way mean to insult fans of archery, apples, classical music or Rossini.)
(p.p.s. A hearty Happy 150th birthday to our man, Mr. Charles Darwin!)

Well, I'm not sure you're in a good position to complain about this, since you've all but stopped posting comments on my blog (except to check up on whether I've been consumed by Australian wildfires).

I already mentioned in a previous post how you could get more comments: Have "caption this" contests, where you post a particularly unusual picture, and then ask commenters to come up with the cleverest possible picture caption.

Another thing that would increase the number of comments is to write blog posts with more text. Excepting "caption this" contests, pictures tend not to inspire as many comments as actual text.....at least as far as I've observed things in the blogosphere.

Of course your blogs always bring a smile to our faces but not always comments to mind.

You're right about the comments. We have been really enjoying the vids and the pics. Love the frequent posting. Pls keep it up!

Mostly I'm still kicking myself about not getting the electric blanket trivia question -- we've read that book (a gracious gift from you folks IIRC) umpteen times now.

Ummmm. Did Charles Darwin write "The Origin of Species BEFORE he was born?
We think Happy 200th is more like it.

And keep the photos coming-It helps us to not feel quite so far away

I think you just got the birthday wrong to get more people to comment.
