It is not chess

Eric's latest game of choice is Arimaa. It uses a chess board, a few of the chess pieces and is 'a deep strategy game with simple rules.' To most people, it's a lot like chess. Don't tell Eric I said that.

For months, Eric has tried to convince friends and family to play. He convinced both Nick and his Mom to play a round (neither has played again). Teresa played a few rounds online, but declared it too much like chess. And Mystery Politico - the person most likely to enjoy Arimaa - has yet to even visit the website.

What's a guy to do? Well, if you're Eric, you water the rules down a tad and teach your oldest to play.

Not so fast! Jeneric has a few tricks up her sleeves!

She's won a few games already. Look out world!

Ha! Yes I have! I've been there twice. I tried reading up on the rules, but I didn't really have the time to practice the game, so I've kind of forgotten everything. I was pretty busy in the weeks leading up to my trip to the US, so I didn't really have time for Arimaa.

Now I have a bit more free time. If Eric really wants me to play, may I suggest a tutorial over Skype? We could even do it this weekend, immediately before or after our diavlog, if he wants to.
