Let's go to the movies!*

Jeneric has long asked to go to a real movie, in a real theater. This Christmas, she got her wish: Aunt Kelly took her to see Tangled. Although Jeneric cannot tell you a thing about the movie, she can tell you that she got to eat popcorn and have a fountain drink!

*Bonus points if you know the movie reference in the title of today's post!

Bowled over

Jeneric heard that Grandpa was on several bowling leagues and was excited to try it out herself. Grandpa took her to Echo Lanes and showed her the ropes.

Aunt Kelly - excited for bowling (and maybe she snagged a strike, too).

And Jenni gets her one and only strike of the evening.

Jeneric was tired out after the first game. She hung out with Grandma and Toddler Wily for the second game.

And now, for the action shot...

Guest Blogger Aunt Kelly!

The story of my trip to Michigan starts with a message on Mom and Dad's answering machine Wednesday night ... "Only 48 hours until I'm home and we're on our way!!"

Next came the stipulations for the car ride... "We can only stop 3 times, once for lunch and one time before and one time after"

I mean come on, I had important people to see!

Toddler Jeneric would like me to mention that there is a huge difference between "napping" and "resting." Below we are resting.

See when you are just resting, you still have time to tickle Auntie Kelly, Grandma, and Grandpa

Determined to get Toddler Jeneric to like sledding, we bundled up and headed for the hill. Grandpa finally convinced her to sit in the sled while he pulled. Unfortunately, we didn't have the camera with to catch the tight corner that ended with Toddler Jeneric face first in the snow. Needless to say, we won't be going sledding again this week.

Back indoors, Toddler Jeneric proved to be a relentless personal trainer. Daddy wasn't allowed to slack on his exercises with Toddler Jeneric counting "22, 28, 28, 28 ..."

But at least she was kind enough to demonstrate the exercise before letting Daddy do it.
