Vitals
Toddler Jeneric had her 15-month check up late last week. We dutifully present an update:
Height: 32 and 1/4 inches (95th percentile)
Weight: 25 lbs, 2 oz (80th percentile)
Vaccines: three, taken like a champ
Her growth prompted us to check her shoe-size - yep, too small (no wonder she's been balling her left foot for the last week). We're up to a size 6!

Yo
Translation: yogurt.
Other Toddler Jeneric words:
Ba (translation, depending on inflection: ball or bath)
Du (translation: duck)
Go (translation: goat)
Buh (translation: book)
Apap (translation: apple, short for applesauce)
In other news, Toddler Jeneric continues to improve her tool usage. To wit:

Also, saltines and salsa? A winning combination!

What's the story, applesauce?
Cavemen had them.
There's a band named for them.
They can be powered or not, corded or cordless.
Their use represents a pretty significant milestone for a toddler.
Indeed Toddler Jeneric has *successfully* used a tool to feed herself applesauce. Amazing, isn't it?

And for those still in the Applesauce race, we've emptied one case and gotten about 4 jars into the second. Eight jars to go.

All I want for Christmas
Is to open presents! Toddler Jeneric caught on fast to ripping wrapping paper and even figured out there were usually toys beneath the paper.

Dakota and Dad help.

This looks big. Is it a hippopotamus?

Still opening. This gift was just from Grandpa. I wonder what it could be?

We'll have her bowling 300 by next Christmas.

There was more present opening in Michigan.

Legos! Thanks Grammy & Grampy!

Toddler Jeneric has promised to make crepes for the next four Sundays.

And to all, a good night.
