Spilled milk

There's no need to cry over it when Lady Argon is willing to clean it up.

It's the least we could do for the cat, considering she is often subjected to the decorating whims of Toddler Wily.

Swing low

Both girls are quite in love with gymnastics. You should see Toddler Wily's forward somersault with full laid out landing. Come to think of it, we should video that for the blog. But! Even better, Eric thought the girls would love a pull-up bar to swing from and boy, was he right.

The home gym has already paid off. For the first time, Jeneric was quite willing and excited to do forward rolls around the bar at gymnastics class this week. She even attempted one or two without the teacher spotting her. Whoops!

For the birds

Over the long, cold weekend, we decided to make a little treat for our bird friends.

Jenni mixed up some bird seed, gelatin, flour and corn syrup, then sprayed some cookie cutters. The girls scooped and pressed and scooped some more.

(Toddler Wily wasn't keen on getting her fingers dirty.)

When it warms up a bit (and when Eric feels like tromping through 2 feet of snow), we'll hang them on our pine tree.

A lasting impression

Toddler Wily has, of late, been pretending to feed a giraffe (specifically, the Duplo Lego Giraffe) and tells the story of feeding a tall giraffe that kissed her hand.

We'll add that to the priceless memory collection!

Winter Wonderland

The Wily Jeneric family rang in the new year by weathering their first two (!) North Dakota blizzards. Grandma and Grandpa were trapped!, unable to return home as all major roads were closed. So we hunkered down, played a few games, drank some hot cocoa and took a few walks in/on the snow.

Lunch anyone?

Toddler Wily came up with this scrumptious concoction all on her own.

Let's go to the movies!*

Jeneric has long asked to go to a real movie, in a real theater. This Christmas, she got her wish: Aunt Kelly took her to see Tangled. Although Jeneric cannot tell you a thing about the movie, she can tell you that she got to eat popcorn and have a fountain drink!

*Bonus points if you know the movie reference in the title of today's post!
